Who should take this course?
To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
Duration:
Typically 3–4 days
Academics:
Combines independent study, classroom sessions, confined water training, and four open water dives. You’ll learn about dive planning, underwater navigation, buoyancy control, safety procedures, and more.
Equipment:
Full scuba gear is provided, including mask, fins, snorkel, wetsuit, BCD, regulator, tank, and weights. Dive computer or timing device may also be included depending on location.
