This specialty course teaches you how to safely explore wrecks, one of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of diving. Learn about wreck diving techniques, safety procedures, and how to protect these historic underwater sites.
Who should take this course?
If you’re at least 15 years old and have earned a PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher, you can enroll in the Wreck Diver Specialty course.
Duration:
Typically 2–3 days
Academics:
Learn the principles of wreck diving, including safe entry and exit techniques, penetration diving (with guidelines), navigation, and proper handling of the wreck's environment. The course includes theory, confined water drills, and at least four open water wreck dives.
Equipment:
Standard scuba gear is provided. Additional equipment such as dive lights, reels, and knives may be used, depending on the dive site and depth.
